A storm over Houston produced vivid lightning bolts known as “anvil crawlers” that appeared to crawl underneath part of the storm cloud.
NWS Meteorologist Alex Sizemore captured this amazing sight of “crawler lightning.” Check out the spectacular video below. Crawler lightning or anvil crawlers are a type of intra-cloud lightning.
