My daughter let me know that I would be making a portrait of her friend for his birthday the day before his party. To insure I executed her vision correctly she painted it first so I could see exactly what she wanted me to paint. She did an amazing job and it was a daunting task but under her close scrutiny and many harsh critiques, I eventually painted it to her liking.
