Today I reviewed the supplement lists of two new clients. They were taking multiple vitamins containing synthetic folic acid. One of them had an inherited MTHFR snp that increased their folic acid cancer risk. The other person did NOT have a genomic test so we don’t know if their folic acid supplement was a contributing factor. ⚠️There is a difference between folate and folic acid.
