Egg #1 arrived today around 2:38pm. This video shows M15 landing in the nest, relieving F23 of incubation duties since laying the egg. F23 flew off for a quick water break at the pond. M settled in and then continued to shift and move before F returned to take over incubation duties. M15 & F23 made a quick visit to the nest this afternoon (Oct 9, 2024) as SWFL preps for the expected landfall of Hurricane Milton just north of their North Fort Myers, FL nest. After this visit, they were spotted in other areas of the nest pasture. Our hope is to keep the cams streaming as long as power/internet will allow.
